Renovation and Elevated ADU Living

Casitas supported the renovation and expansion of existing units on 2nd Street in Santa Monica, transforming under-utilized garages and storage spaces into three modern Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) while also renovating the primary residential units. This project expands rental housing capacity within Santa Monica’s tight urban footprint through thoughtful design and quality execution.

Casitas provided full development support—including permitting and expediting, design coordination and management, development oversight, and construction management—ensuring alignment between design intent, regulatory requirements, and construction delivery. We worked closely with the design team and city agencies to navigate approvals and advance efficient execution.

The three ADUs feature unique architectural character, generous private yard spaces, and abundant natural light, creating inviting, livable spaces that enhance the site’s residential quality. By overseeing design, permitting, construction coordination, and delivery, Casitas helped the client bring these elevated ADUs to market while maximizing the value and usability of an infill urban property.
